Designed for serious BMX racing, this customized cnc chainring is light and stiff, for super fast out of the gate accelleration, and quick recovery out of corners. It’s machined from 7075 CNC machined aluminum, and anodized black or clear.
The CNC program directs the cutter head position through XYZ coordinates. The X and Y values determine the horizontal position on the positive and negative X and Y axes respectively, and the Z value determines the vertical position. Once the operator hits the start button, the tool bit cuts a wide tooth into two teeth, leaving the middle tooth as the narrow one in an alternating pattern of wide-narrow.
No hand file or manual deburring instrument touched this piece of cold forged aluminum, and every edge on front and back has a precision machined 45-degree 0.010-in deep chamfer. It’s a beauty. Designed for Catalyst / Inferno cranks with a 3-bolt direct mount, and fits most SRAM spider arms as well. Made by IGNITE COMPONENTS in Allamuchy, NJ. 110 bolt patten fits both 3/32″ and 1/8″ chains.
